Now widely used throughout Europe and America, Black Cohosh is derived from the dark root of the plant (Cimicifuga racemosa), also known as black snakeroot and squaw vine.

Black Cohosh is rich in isoflavones, such as are found in soy and other natural phytoestrogens, which are currently the focus of much media interest.

Our pharmacists were concerned to provide a consistently high quality supplement, and each capsule contains 40mg of standardised extract of Black Cohosh providing 2.5% Triterpene Glycosides, the active ingredient.

Anyone who has previously experienced any liver complaint or any other serious health complaint is advised not to take black cohosh without first talking to their doctor.

Patients should stop taking Cimicifugae racemosae rhizoma (Black Cohosh, root) and consult their doctor immediately if they develop signs and symptoms suggestive of liver injury (tiredness, loss of appetite, yellowing of the skin and eyes or severe upper stomach pain with nausea and vomiting or dark urine).

Patients using herbal medicinal products should tell their doctor about it.

SUGGESTED DAILY INTAKE:

  • Take one capsule daily with water or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Black Cohosh (2.5% Triterpenold Saponins) 40mg
INGREDIENTS: Rice flour (bulking agent), Black Cohosh (derived from root and rhizome), vegetable cellulose (capsule shell).

For orders of £15.00 or over our standard delivery service is free.

For delivery outside the UK, the charge is £6.95.

If you would like to return an item, for whatever reason, within 30 days of receipt, simply go to 'return an item' in 'my account' section (you will need to be logged in). In the relevant order box, click on the link "Return goods". Simply fill out the details of the goods you are returning and what replacements you would like.

If you cannot see the link it will mean that the returns period of 30 days has expired. Unfortunately we cannot accept a return more than 30 days after you have received the item unless the item is faulty. If your item is faulty and more than 30 days have passed, please contact us 0808 124 0006.

Once you have submitted the form, click on the print button to print the returns label, fold it along the dotted lines and insert it into the document wallet on the front of your original packaging so that the Goldshield address can clearly be seen. Reseal the document wallet using tape. If you don't have the document wallet any longer, just stick a piece of clear plastic over the returns label, so that our address can clearly be seen and the returns label can be easily removed when it arrives.

You may send the parcel back to us by Royal Mail or any courier of your choice. However please note that it is your responsibility to make sure it reaches us. We suggest that you send it by some form of insured delivery to cover the cost if it gets lost in transit.
